Ubisoft brings us today its financial results for this last fiscal year, although being in the last full year of the current generation also serves to look back on what Ubisoft achieved in the generation of PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Ubisoft have sold more than 10 million copies this generation according to the company itself in its fiscal report. Among those games we find several franchises of the saga, with releases located at different stages of the generation.
The Ubisoft games that have sold over 10 million copies in the current generation are:
- Assassin’s Creed Unity
- Assassin’s Creed Odyssey
- Assassin's Creed Origins
- Far Cry 4
- Far Cry 5
- Watch Dogs 1
- Watch Dogs 2
- Rainbow 6 Siege
- Ghost Recon Wildlands
- The Division 1
- The Division 2
As you can see, the Assassin’s Creed saga dominates with 3 launches with more than 10 million each, leaving only Assassin’s Creed Syndicate and Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag out of the list. We assume that the latter is considered as the launch of the last generation and not the current one.
On the other hand, Far Cry, Watch Dogs and The Division have 2 games each listed. Tom Clancy would be proud, since apart from The Division we find Rainbow Six Siege and Ghost Recon Wildlands.
Ubisoft has also confirmed Assassin's Creed Odyssey's sales improvement over Origins. 90% over the first 12 months of each game's life. We are waiting for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and Ubisoft Forward that will surely bring us news about the company for this year and 2021.
