Subnautica Below Zero

Subnautica Below Zero – Gameplay trailer sets us in the mood for the icy survival adventure
Genre: Underwater Survival | Developer: Unknown Worlds Entertainment | Release year: 2021 | Preis: 13 dollars on Steam, reduced by 55 percent
There are people who like to splash around in ice water for a few minutes when the temperature is freezing below zero. Instead of imitating this without enough training and putting your life in danger, you could sit comfortably in front of your PC, plunge your digital self into icy water worlds and fight for survival.
Subnautica Below Zero lets you do just that. As in the predecessor, you are taken to the water planet 4546B, but this time in arctic regions. You can also explore a few small islands, but most of them take place deep down in the icy sea.
In Survival style, you build a base, you have to listen to your own body and eat regular meals, and… well, you don’t get eaten by giant sea monsters. Here, Below Zero also tells a little story again, namely you are looking for your missing sister. If you want, you can safely ignore them and survive without any distractions.
The different biomes are much more interesting anyway! From beautiful and colorful to oppressive and spooky, there is a lot here. Incidentally, the predecessor Subnautica is also on offer and currently costs 10 dollars.

This War of Mine

This War of Mine – Launch Trailer: A War Survivor Tells The Story
Genre: War Survival | Developer: 11 bit Studios | Release year: 2014 | Preis: 4 dollars on Steam, GOG and Epic, reduced by 55 percent
Some games aren’t meant to be fun. But that doesn’t make them bad games. This War of Mine is just such a game that is oppressive, almost frustrating. And it’s awesome.
You are not fighting for survival in colorful underwater worlds, zombie apocalypses or sci-fi planets, but in war. Although the military conflict in This War of Mine is fictional in nature and only inspired by real events, the events feel extremely real. You are not on the battlefield as a soldier or commanding your troops from above, but tending to a group of civilians in this dark time.
The game presents you with moral challenges: you could, for example, steal from another group of survivors at night so that your own people don’t starve to death. Not only do you question yourself, the characters also have pangs of conscience. This War of Mine shows the ghastly face of war unashamedly and without mercy. You won’t soon forget this game, even if you won’t enjoy it.
This War of Mine is now even included in Polish school lessons:
