Even if Ghostbusters fans have been waiting for a new film set in the original timeline since 1989, the last 19 months seemed particularly long to them. In fact, they were entitled to the first trailer for Ghostbusters Afterlife in early December 2019. And nothing there. After several delays in the film’s release, the home stretch seems to have finally begun.

Fantasies fans have been waiting for a new trailer for months. Ghostbusters Beyond, titled Film SOS ghosts: inheritance in France. Sony Pictures, which now seems confident of releasing its film by the end of the year, has finally granted their request and announced yesterday that a new trailer will be released today. It’s done now. And it’s this second trailer that you can check out above.
This second video, apparently edited by people who know a large part of the public forgot about the original trailer, picks up on some elements of the latter. It adds a number of shown sequences and more direct references to the original movie. The origins of the new heroes also seem a bit clearer and Janine Melnitz is celebrating her big comeback here. But instead of telling the full story, we’ll let you experience the video for yourself.

Unlike other Hollywood studios that switched to VOD and streaming during the COVID-19 pandemic, Sony Pictures has stuck to its intention to only offer “Ghostbusters 3” in theaters. Ghostbusters Afterlife / SOS Fantmes l’Hritage is therefore planned for November 11th in American cinemas. In France, the release is expected 24 hours earlier, Wednesday 10 November.
