WhatsApp is currently contacting many of you with a status message. In it, the messenger advertises a practical feature that perhaps not everyone knows about.

If you wanted to use two different WhatsApp accounts on one device, you had to use tricks and app cloners for a long time. This has no longer been necessary since October 2023. Because WhatsApp now offers the option of managing two accounts on one device on Android phones. For example, you can separate professional and private communication.
Even though the function has been available for a few weeks, it is still rarely used. Because WhatsApp is now promoting the feature in a status message that many of you are currently seeing.
Two accounts on one device – currently only possible on Android
To add another WhatsApp account to your device, all you have to do is tap the arrow next to your profile picture and then select “Add Account”. You can also find a link to the function directly from the WhatsApp story.
However, the feature is only available on Android phones. It is unclear when it will be rolled out for the iPhone. WhatsApp does not provide any information about this in its story.
