The athletics competition at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris will really get started on Friday, August 2nd. There are also some German medal candidates taking part. We’ll give you an overview here.
The 100-meter decathlete race starts at 10:00 a.m. The long jump and shot put will also be completed in the morning. Niklas Kaul and Leo Neugebauer are considered to be hot candidates for the medals. The latter usually has a strong first day, while Kaul is mainly looking forward to day two. There will then be a break in the afternoon. There will also be a few preliminary rounds on the first morning.
In the evening, the decathletes will be competing in the high jump. They will then finish their first day with the 400 meters. There will also be various qualifications. At around 9:20 p.m., the first medals will be awarded in the men’s 10,000 meter final. This is the approximate schedule for today:

With Discovery+ you won’t miss a second
With Discovery+, Eurosport offers you its own streaming service. In addition to the broadcast on TV, you can watch all competitions there, including all athletics sessions. You can also watch all content in full length in the replays. However, the service requires a subscription starting at 3.99 dollars per month. Unfortunately, there is no trial month.
Beware of illegal streams on the Internet
If you come across other streaming portals on the internet that are not mentioned here and promise you a live stream of the French Open, you should be careful. These are usually illegal. By using them, you could be committing a criminal offense and catching malware.
