The publisher 2K Games has become the victim of a hacker attack. If you play the company’s games, you should now be on your guard and take these steps.
Unknowns have gained access to the company’s help desk platform, writes 2K Games on Twitter. They used this to send fake emails to players. They are asked to click on a dangerous link. 2K Games warns of these phishing emails on Twitter.
If you have already clicked on the link, you should take the following steps:
- Reset all your passwords saved in the browser.
- If possible, enable 2-factor authentication for your accounts.
- Scan your PC with an anti-virus program.
- Check your 2K account for suspicious activity.
Like Rockstar, 2K Games belongs to Take 2. Rockstar Games was also recently the victim of a hacker attack, and gameplay from GTA 6 was stolen.
