Aaron Greenberg, Xbox general manager, has shared a post on the Xbox official website in which he explains the proper functioning that is having, during the first days, the Halo Master Chief Collection on PC.
In the words of Greenberg, “The launch of Halo: Reach of the Master Chief Collection on both PC and Xbox One on December 3, supposed some record numbers, never seen before in the Halo franchise»
Among those record numbers referred to by the Xbox General Manager are the almost 3 million people who played the Master Chief Collection during the launch week becoming, also, Halo: Reach in the best selling video game on Steam during the launch week and the highest ranking debut for an Xbox Game Studios title on Steam.
Also, Greenberg adds: «When fans have not been playing the Master Chief Collection they have been watching almost 3 million hours during the week of release pushing the title to the Twitch first position the first day"
It shows that the community was eager to play the Halo saga on PC. While it is true that, the numbers collected by the Xbox Manager, encompass both PC and Xbox usersThere is no doubt that the Master Chief Collection has been an undoubted success during the first days. And this is just the beginning because, although the entire Master Chief collection came out on Xbox, PC users, for now, only have Halo: Reach So, with these numbers, on paper and if this success is repeated, 2020 can be, without a doubt, the year of Halo on PC.
