Google works diligently to constantly improve its operating system for smartphones. Four new features await us this month, which will be available to all Android users upon release. These include a new way to use emojis, better functionality for Sound Amplifier, as well as Lookout and a new way to pay in apps and games.
Google has these innovations in one Blog-Post announced. They are to be rolled out to all Android smartphones in the course of the month. These changes are independent of Android 13, which is currently in beta. You can find all information about this in this article:

Brings an important change for users
1. Customizable stickers
If you use Gboard, i.e. the virtual keyboard for smartphones from Google, you will soon be able to customize your stickers here. All you have to do is type in some text and select a design. Gboard then processes the text into a sticker. For the time being, however, the feature only works if you change the keyboard layout English-U.S.
uses. Google does not reveal when it will be available for Europe keyboards.
2. Use Play Points for in-app purchases
If you’re signed up for Google’s Play Points program, you’ll get them whenever you buy an app or make an in-app purchase. You can then use this as a discount for future purchases. So far, this is only possible in the Play Store itself. In the future, you should also be able to use Play Points for in-app purchases.
Then you can either buy in-game items entirely for the points if you have enough of them or pay partly in Play Points and partly with another payment method. So you can use the points more versatile.
3. New accessibility features
Googles Sound Amplifier is designed to help people with hearing impairments better understand the world around them. The app can also recognize certain sounds, such as voices, and amplify them using headphones or earplugs. Disturbing background noise is reduced.
With the latest update, the Amplifier should recognize and reduce background noise better and faster. In addition, there were adjustments to the user interface to make it more intuitive to use.
Also Lookout, an app for blind and visually impaired people, gets an update. In the new image mode, the app can now recognize what can be seen in an image and read it out to the user. The app can also recognize labels and read documents aloud. With the new update, the app now also works offline, without Wifi or mobile data.
4. New stickers for Emoji Kitchen
Emoji Kitchen is a feature for Gboard that allows you to combine two stickers to create a new one. For example, you can use it to create a watermelon soccer ball or a burning scorpion.
In June, Google will be releasing new stickers that provide new combination options. These are dedicated to the topics Sommer
and Pride
to celebrate Pride Month. From now on you can dip all stickers in rainbow colors.
