PSVR 2 is coming in a few days and new games have just been leaked including the sequel to a very popular title. The surprise is total.
Sony is slowly preparing to launch its PSVR 2, its new virtual reality headset that comes with a whole host of new cutting-edge technologies and innovative features. 4K, HDR, haptic feedback or even eye tracking… the manufacturer wants to pack the package.
And for that he needs games. While around thirty have already been announced for launch and a hundred are in development, 4 new unannounced titles have just been le aked… from PlayStation.
3 ports of existing games to PSVR 2…
We owe a little surprise at the beginning of this weekend to the German branch of the PlayStation Blog, which would have published an article a little too soon on all the games available at the launch of PSVR 2.
Stuck between Horizon Call of the Mountain, Resident Evil Village, Gran Turismo 7 or even tentaclethe page lists 4 surprise games, including the sequel to one of the most popular VR titles of recent years.
Among these 4 surprise games we find walker, an adventure game that will make us travel through different realities in time. Released in early 2022, the game features multiple escape game-style puzzles, pinpoint narration, and high-end graphics.
Then comes GORN, a hugely popular fighting game since its release in 2017 that focuses primarily on fun and bloody combat. A title that is as bloody as it is funny.
PlayStation Blog also lists a few Project wingman An aerial shooter developed by Sector D2 Studio that puts us in control of multiple fighter planes in intense battles. Aerobatics and thrills are on the program.
Three games that are already available on other platforms and would therefore have a second life on PSVR 2. A nice little surprise, but not very surprising. A lot less than the last leaked game anyway.
… and one last new thing that will please the fans
Since this fourth game is nothing but Solaris Offworld Combat 2, a direct sequel and eagerly awaited by fans, to the first opus of the same name. A fast FPS at the crossroads of DOOM etc quake which offers intense armed confrontations in single player or multiplayer mode. The title is being developed by the studio First Contact, already behind the excellent Firewall Zero Hour, the next Firewall Ultra also expected on PSVR 2. Excellent news that should surely excite fans, especially given that this anticipated sequel has never been talked about before this leak.
But shortly after the PlayStation leak, the studio also shared a press release on Twitter announcing an upcoming reveal Solaris Offworld Combat 2
A dumpling from the PlayStation Blog that would have sold the wick ahead of time. In addition, if the article has been deleted, it can still be consulted via archive. If the release dates for all these games are not yet known, the release window indicated in the article indicated an arrival at the launch of PSVR 2, or at least not far away. We’ll wait for all of this to be made official, but the existence of these four games on PSVR 2 seems very real.
And you, are you planning to get your hands on this PSVR 2?
