Series that popularized 4A Games, the Metro saga is unlikely to be the only spearhead of the Ukrainian studio anymore. In fact, it looks like a new franchise is in the works.

“, (which means it’s a new franchise). The studio specifically seeks artists who specialize in creating environments, creatures, as well Game designer able to incorporate new game mechanics. That’s all except that this title is going to be an FPS.

The preparation of a brand new license by 4A Games doesn’t mean the studio has given up on the Metro saga. Metro Exodus, the latest version, has arrived on new generation consoles: 4K, 60fps, ray tracing, reduced loading times

and even haptic feedback from the PlayStation 5 controller is on the program. At the end of last year, it was even said that a new episode for the license was already in production, and that 4A Games wanted to use Saber Interactive’s services to integrate a multiplayer mode. On this occasion, the studio also declared that it no longer wanted to limit itself to the Metro license or to combine words with deeds.

As a reminder: The Metro are first-person shooter video games that come from the literary saga of the same name by Dmitri Glukhovski. In a universe ravaged by the apocalypse, Russia is nothing more than a field of rubble and the player must survive in a hostile environment. The latest version of the saga is Metro Exodus, available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series.
