Quick to the game (table of contents):
Anomaly Agent
Genre: Platforms | Release: 24 January 2024 | Preis: 11,79 Euro
1:13
In the cyberpunk game Anomaly Agent you fight and shoot your way through the crowds of enemies in style
If you can never get enough of cyberpunk, you should Anomaly Agent take a closer look. With 97 percent approval, the 2D platformer is extremely popular on Steam. You fight and shoot your way through neon-bright, run-down neighborhoods, listen to driving synthwave sounds and even influence the progression of the plot through your decisions.
Writer’s Rush
Genre: Simulation | Release: 22 January 2024 | Preis: 5,89 Euro
Writer’s Rush takes on a fresh setting: you are a writer, create your own artist. You write novels and compete with other writers for fame and money.
In addition to work, you have to deal with fan and angry letters, you can unlock different typewriters, use different genres and measure your success by market performance. At the end you have to meet a certain Wally Mad Dog
Beating Shakespeare to win your writing crown.
Phantom Abyss
Genre: Skill Adventure | Release: 25 January 2024 | Preis: 19,50 Euro
1:02
Phantom Abyss looks like a best-of all the escape scenes from Indiana Jones
Platformers don’t always have to come in plain 2D, Phantom Abyss lets you climb, jump and fall through levels in 3D. Special twist: You can use phantom figures in the levels to see what other players failed (and died) in order to avoid repeating their mistakes.
In the trailer above you can see that Phantom Abyss is somewhat reminiscent of a best-of of the most dangerous escape scenes from Indiana Jones. Speaking of Indy, have you noticed the new game yet?
Psychopomp
Genre: Horror Adventure | Release: 30 January 2024 | Preis: For free
0:53
In Psychopomp our whole life is a lie
In Psychopomp you discover that there are mysterious catacombs under every house. And because you are naturally curious, you set out to explore them. Horror is very important here. The whole thing uses a 32-bit style, as was common in the era of the first PlayStation.
Lil’ Guardsman
Genre: Puzzle adventure | Release: 23 January 2024 | Preis: 19,99 Euro
1:58
In Lil Guardsman you decide which characters are allowed through the castle gate and which are not
You probably know Papers, Please. Lil’ Guardsman is similar, but less dark and cuter. As a 12-year-old, you have to guard a castle gate and decide who is allowed into the city and who is not. To do this, you interview goblins, dark-looking figures and nice grandmothers. All with the aim of averting evil and supporting good. With a good dose of humor.
If you don’t know Papers, Please, you can read our 2013 review above. It is a so-called serious game and a very uncomfortable piece of art at that.
Was there a suitable game for you this week? Which one piqued your interest and why? Do you perhaps have an insider tip of your own that deserves more attention? Feel free to write it in the comments!
