Rockstar will help fight the coronavirus through donations.
GTA and Red Dead Redemption developers Rock star Announced that it will donate 5% of its online gaming revenue to efforts to alleviate the coronavirus between April 1 and May 31.
This covers Grand Theft Auto Online and Red Dead Online. Any player who spends in both games is taken into account. From virtual currency to buying cosmetics, and more.
Rockstar's statement did not specify which organizations would benefit from the donation, but the developers promised to share more “as things go”. Although this seems to be a small percentage, keep in mind that most of the revenue for "Take-Two" and "Rockstar" is generated through in-game purchases.
Considering the popularity of these two games (GTA Online recently set a new record for active players), and because of global blockades, their traffic to many other online games is increasing, so the final revenue may be significant.
