News business 505 Games Acquires Infinity Plus Two (Puzzle Quest)
505 Games’ parent company, Digital Bros, has acquired Melbourne-based development studio Infinity Plus Two. One way to focus on the free-to-play market.
Infinity Plus Two specializes in free-to-play and is the origin of the popular series of Puzzle Quest, which grossed more than 200 million dollars, or the RPG Gems of War, which has already been published by 505 Games. To date, it is the latter’s third in-house studio alongside British developers DR Studios and Kunos Simulazioni (Assetto Corsa). It was founded by Australian developer Steve Fawkner, who will continue to lead the studio as a member of the 505 Games management team.
The F2P market has seen tremendous growth and popularity over the years and has always been a central part of the company’s growth strategy. As the leading third-party provider of F2P games across multiple platforms, this latest acquisition consolidates our investments in in-house development and enriches our intellectual property library. – – 505 Games press release.
