When a new version of an operating system comes out, it’s always quite difficult to convince them. Proof of this is Windows 11 struggling for acceptance. Explanations.
The study room AdDuplex has just released an accurate report in which he openly states the adoption rate of Windows 11, and that’s quite surprising. Take a look at the graphic below:
Windows 11 is difficult to convince
The different data is based on a sample of 5,000 applications from the Windows Store, which provides some information about the different usages. So we learn that Windows 11 accounts for only 19.7% of usage. Note, however, that support for Windows 10 is set to officially end in 2025. This should encourage more than one to keep going.
A not so smooth transition
The problem is that it requires a TPM 2.0 compatible processor, otherwise you need a recent PC. And even then, it’s not necessarily given to everyone, because sometimes even with a compatible computer, you have to manually enable the TPM 2.0 in your PC’s BIOS. The explanation is given by Microsoft on its website. An approach that isn’t that complicated, but may put off more than one user.
The other concern is that the first few months of Windows 11 also saw instability issues for AMD processor owners. And despite everything, it is remembered. Now it remains to be seen how Microsoft will convince the “die-hards”.
