Game News 62% of players won’t be able to play the Elden Ring DLC! The reason? They weren’t good enough!
While Shadow of the Erdtree – the long-awaited DLC for Elden Ring – is set to release next week, some players still haven’t met the conditions to access it… Be careful, you’ll need to act fast!
So, are you ready for the arrival of Shadow of the Erdtree, the long-awaited DLC for Elden Ring, which will be released on June 21st – next week – on PC and console? In any case, this is not the case for everyone. As streamer Cohh Carnage reports on X (Twitter), Almost 62% of Steam players have not yet defeated Mohg Blood Lord who is nevertheless one of the two mandatory bosses to access the expansion’s content (you also have to defeat General Radahn). The videographer came to this conclusion with a simple calculation: in the Valve store, only 38% of players have the Mohg Fragment-bearing trophy that you get after defeating the enemy.
The clock is turning
An anecdote that may make you smile, but the clock is ticking and the release of Shadow of the Erdtree is imminent! An “emergency” that did not escape the American report of Bandai Namco, publisher of Elden Ring. On June 11, on X, the company shared the post of Cohh Carnage with this post.
Friendly PSA for anyone looking forward to Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree. You have less than 2 weeks to prepare! – Bandai Namco, on X
An enemy that is not easy to find
Unlike a boss like Margit the Fallen, who is found at the entrance to the first Legacy Dungeon, Mohg is not a “required” enemy and is even less likely to be found on the main road to the Elden Ring! To find it, you must either use a portal in the Hallowed Snowfields – an optional area of the Peaks of Giants (accessible towards the end of the game) – or complete Varré’s quests. No wonder so few PC gamers have made it… We also remind you that these percentages only concern the Steam version of Elden Ring. FromSoftware’s masterpiece, like the DLC, is also available for PS4, PS5, One and Xbox Series.
