A rather unexpected announcement just came out, submitted by Axios : Many Gearbox developers leave the ship to join a new, unknown project (studio). We know this.

Gearbox, which still lags behind giants like the Borderlands series, has just received a big slap in the face. As a matter of fact, seven senior developers and studio experts have just left the ship to start a new project together.
We note the main producer in this departure list Christopher Brock, the main mission designer Keith Schuler, the artistic director Scott Kester, all three had been there for over 10 years. But that’s not all, because the names of Paul Sage
The old guard is leaving
It’s important to note that the group is leaving the studio, according to Randy Pitchford, founder and boss of Gearbox.in very good conditions“According to Axios sources, these developers still represent Gearbox’s old guard and some on the development team are excited about the idea.”to have fresh blood in certain projects
Eventually we learn that this old guard in preproduction was completely working on the same project and that Gearbox has already started replacing vacant positions. A change of sides for the company recently acquired by the Embracer Group. And we are inevitably excited to see what these alumni will offer in this new secret project in the future.
