Sony is doing everything it can to promote its next exclusive PlayStation 5 and is announcing a beautiful limited edition controller in the colors.

With the exception of Helldivers 2, FF7 Rebirth, and Stellar Blade, the PlayStation 5 has been pretty wise this year when it comes to big exclusive releases. While the upcoming exclusive hasn’t generated much excitement yet, Sony seems to want to give it every chance, especially with the announcement of a beautiful limited edition DualSense controller in its colors.

On August 23, Sony aims to carve out a place for itself in the tough hero shooter arena with Concord, planned for PC and PlayStation 5. Unfortunately, the presentation at the last State of Play was not really convincing. The beta also showed a certain lack of finish. Firewalk Studios tried as best it could to reassure players by presenting an economic model similar to Overwatch when it was released in 2016. But many elements, such as the obligation to use the PSN and a ticket for the $40 entry price, have really chilled the community.

New attempt by Sony to promote the upcoming release of Concord on PC and especially on PlayStation 5: a limited edition DualSence controller in the colors of the game, this new model is objectively quite attractive. What is a little less true, however, is the fact that it is currently only available for pre-order in the United States and is available for $84.99. There is still no indication of imminent availability in Europe or the rest of the world. And it is probably not the exorbitant customs fees that make players outside of American soil blow their budgets.

With such a commitment of resources from Sony and the clear desire of Firewalk Studios to offer a solid hero shooter, will Concord manage to find its audience despite many unfortunately not encouraging signs, or is the title already stillborn, at least in the eyes of gamers? Reaction begins on August 23rd for PC and PlayStation 5.
