HBO lights our lantern for the big upcoming DCU series
In addition to the upcoming Superman film, the DCU is also set to shine on the small screen thanks to the highly anticipated series “Laterns,” produced by HBO in association with Warner Bros Television and DC Studios. Written and produced by Chris Mundy (Ozark), Damon Lindelof (Watchmen) and Tom King (famous screenwriter in the world of comics), the series will star Hal Jordan, Guy Gardner and John Stewart in a True Detective atmosphere. We now know which actors will be playing these iconic DCU superheroes, and it’s clearly not just anyone!
John Stewart is actually played by Aaron Pierre on the small screen. Th is talented actor will therefore join the DCU via Lanterns. As a reminder, he starred in Rebel Ridge, a Netflix film with the highest ratings three weeks after its release. The character known from the legendary animated series Justice League from 2001 is therefore played by a renowned actor. Guy Gardner is played by Nathan Fillion (Firefly) and Hal Jordan is played by Kyle Chandler. In short, a real five-star cast.
It now remains to be seen when this supposedly extremely promising DCU series from HBO will appear on Max. We already know that the first season will consist of eight episodes. The rest is just as mysterious as the plot of the series against the background of a murder investigation. However, we can bet that DC, HBO or Warner will enlighten our lantern in due course on this question that is on the lips of Corps fans.
