The Last of Us Part 1 is still bringing a lot of PCs to their knees, but Naugthy Dog just announced some great news.
We won’t tell you anything, the release on PC of The Last of Us Part 1, the remake of the cult game by Naughty Dog, was a real disaster. While some players didn’t seem to have had any issues, many buyers of the game quickly became disillusioned upon release. Bugs, crashes, optimization issues… an unbelievable disaster for which Naughty Dog has already apologized. The studio has also been working hard to get their game back on track and has patched it multiple times. But that is not all. However, the bulk of the problems should soon be fixed with a long-awaited major patch that should fix many critical bugs.
A major new patch for The Last of Us on PC
In any case, the studio announces this to us on Twitter, teasing the imminent arrival of a new update for next week. The Last of Us Part 1 will therefore be entitled to a 1.0.4 patch in a few days and the developers tell us that it should improve things significantly.
In the small tweet shared online, the dogs state that this upcoming patch should improve framerate, fix several graphics bugs, stabilize texture issues, and fix numerous crashes. Other patches will of course be included, but the big one is here. Now it’s just a matter of waiting.
An essential remake
The Last of Us Part 1 on PC should therefore offer a much more pleasant experience for a large number of players who are still victims of various technical problems. And that’s a shame, because the title is one of the most important of recent years. Longtime fans know The last of us shook up the industry when it released for PS3 in 2013, raising the bar in terms of storytelling, direction and technique.
Its remake can’t be beat on PS5 as it retains the exact same characteristics as the original game and improves on absolutely everything else. The gameplay is smoother, the graphics greatly improved and practical, everything has been completely retyped, especially the environments, sometimes unrecognizable since they have changed, even if the structure of the level design remains identical to the original game.
