Like many other flagship programs on the platform, the second season of Arcane took a detour during Netflix Geeked. We thought the American giant had already announced everything, but there was a little news.
In 2021, Netflix and the Fortiche studio surprised everyone with Arcane. The animated series opened the universe of League of Legends to the general public, who quickly tried the game, and so the success was such that the adaptation rose to the top 1 of the platform for several weeks, charting all over the world. The SVOD giant did not expect such enthusiasm and therefore quickly ordered a second season, considering the project was particularly long in the making. After three years of waiting, Vi, Jinx and Caitlyn will return next November to put an end to their conflicts. On the occasion of Netflix Geeked, the platform unveiled a new excerpt and caused a surprise, and not necessarily a good one.
Arcane Season 2 is divided into several parts
The story of Jinx, Vi and their comrades will soon end. Netflix and Fortiche have confirmed it to everyone’s surprise: Arcane will raise the curtain with the second season. However, there is no question of abandoning the universe of League of Legends, which continues to expand with at least one more series that will take place in a region that deviates from the license. The possibilities are numerous, because there is no shortage of emblematic characters and events. Until then, season 2 of Arcane will be released on November 9, 2024 – in part. The series will not be able to escape the fashion of series cut into several parts either, but this time Netflix goes even further. The release will therefore not be in two, but in three stages, with the following schedule:
- Act 1 : 9 November
- Act 2 : 16 November
- Act 3 : 23 November
The break between each part could become endless for those who were hoping to devour this sequel in one go. We remind you that the second season of Arcane will only have nine episodes, so each act should be three. As a little taster, Netflix has also unveiled a new excerpt featuring a Vi-emo and the bottom of the hole. A video that was also broadcast behind closed doors for a few lucky people during the Annecy Festival. See you on November 9 to discover the first three episodes of the second season of Arcane.
