Manor Lords continues to be improved with a new patch that fixes some bugs and makes the gaming experience even more enjoyable than it already was.
Developed by Slavic Magic, Manor Lords continues to delight audiences with more than one million copies sold and a peak of 173,178 concurrently connected players on Steam. A new experimental update is now available, bringing significant changes and optimizations that promise to improve the gaming experience.
Manor Lords continues to move forward
In this latest update, available on the experimental branch of Steam, the developers have introduced several changes aimed at refining the gameplay. One of the most notable adjustments is the significant increase in damage dealt by archers, from four to twelve points of damage per attack. This change aims to strengthen their role on the battlefield after player feedback reported that archers were not being used enough.
AI retreat distances have also been reworked, reducing the frequency at which archers enter an attack and retreat loop, making encounters more realistic and strategic. Trade management was one of the main goals of this update. The cost of opening new trade routes has been reduced by 50%, compared to a previous limit of 25%. These changes are intended to make it easier for players to expand their business and encourage greater diversity in economic strategies.
That’s just the beginning
At the same time, the logistics of the trading points were changed. Traders will no longer always appear at the nearest trading point when setting up a trade route, but will be distributed to flow between different points, which should reduce over-optimization at region borders.
These adjustments come at a time when Manor Lords has already established a good reputation in the market, as evidenced by sales figures and the number of active players. The update is intended to help maintain community interest and satisfaction by responding to player requests for finer balancing and improved game mechanics.
