Four new cars for Gran Turismo 7
The next update for Gran Turismo 7 is just around the corner. Starting this Tuesday, February 21, 2023, fans of PlayStation’s car simulation can prepare for their arrival on PSVR 2.To update will focus on compatibility with the new virtual reality headset and the addition of a showroom VR mode that will allow you to admire your cars and their interiors as if you were there. Still, mere mortals who had none patch wondered since December about the possible presence of new content for those who would confine themselves to their PS5. Kazunori Yamauchi, creator of the license, provides an answer with his now unmissable teaser based on silhouettes of the next cars added.
With update 1.29 of Gran Turismo 7 there will not be a trio of vehicles, but a quartet. As usual, the lynx eyes of GTPlanet I have already identified three of them. The silhouette above in the image would hide the Citroën DS which could be available in a post-facelift version from 1965, so it would be either a DS19 or a DS21. On the left, fans hesitate between the AAR Eagle Indy Car, the big winner of the 2018 Pebble Beach Gran Turismo Trophy, and the Honda RA272, the first Japanese car to win an F1 race. Easier to identify would be the one on the right, a great classic: the Porsche 911, probably in its Carrera 2.7 RS version or a similar variant like the M471 RS Lightweight or the 2.8 RSR. However, the mystery remains whole for the one in the middle who causes more trouble.
An update focused on PSVR 2
See you next Tuesday to find out what this quartet will really be. As usual, the 1.29 update should come with new titles and landscapes unreleased to photograph this new roster. Also note the use of the plural in Yamauchi’s message, die tease Well, “updates” suggesting there will be several at some point. One thing is for sure, theTo update 1.29 will focus on PSVR 2. Keep in mind that Gran Turismo 7 and all of its content will be fully playable on the virtual reality headset, with the exception of the two-player split-screen mode.
An exclusive feature will also be on display: the RV Showroom, where visitors can admire their collection in “Ultra High Definition” and in ever more exotic locations. The PSVR 2 version of Gran Turismo will obviously take advantage of new hardware technology, including HDR, eye tracking and 3D audio. Enough to promise a more immersive experience.
