The PS5 is still being updated with the new firmware 24.03-09.20.00, which adds new features to help players who need them.
The PS5 has seen some great developments recently with update 24.02-09.00.00.45-00.00.00.0.1. The sound emitted from the DualSense speaker is louder and offers a better balance between sound effects and voices. Likewise, controller microphone capture has advanced thanks to improved noise cancellation through AI. The brightness of the console’s power signal can now be adjusted rather than turned off, but the biggest change is to screen sharing. Now you can more precisely support a friend in trouble in a game by reacting directly to the broadcast of their game with visual interactions. Discover the new changes available on PS5.
PS5 update details for April 24, 2024
The new PS5 firmware updates for March 2024 were pretty important. And that is not systematically the case, quite the opposite. Very often the opposite is true, as updates generally only improve the performance and stability of the console’s operating system. Does this still apply with the new version 24.03-09.20.00 of the PS5 software? Yes, but that’s not all. The firmware, which still weighs 1,187 GB, also offers features.
These real new features mainly concern game assistance. A new feature built into the PS5 interface, for example to get advice on how to achieve certain goals. The other notable change is the ability to hide the somewhat annoying “Connected Remote Reading” message. Useful for those who fell in love with PlayStation Portal.
