breathtaking, sublime, West, Wild

Five years after its release, the PC version of Red Dead Redemption 2 continues to flatter our retinas thanks to mods. This video from Digital Dreams is a great example.

One of Rockstar’s greatest masterpieces, Red Dead Redemption 2’s Wild West is a constant invitation to travel. Already excellent thanks to the proprietary RAGE engine, it gets even better thanks to mods and a very powerful PC configuration. The proof in the video.

Red Dead Redemption 2 continues to surprise us

Beyond solid gameplay, some games simply delight us with their atmosphere and art direction. In this category, few titles come close to Red Dead Redemption 2. Even five years after its release, we still enjoy traveling through these wild lands on our trusty steed. Thanks to mod support, the experience has become more enjoyable over time.

Digital Dreams, a YouTube channel specializing in the topic, proves this again with a video that is a real feast for the eyes. Rockstar’s masterclass is shown here in all its glory in 8K at 60fps. The visual effect is further enhanced by a mod that aims to take the graphics cursors to the extreme. Finally, the party is rounded off by the proprietary Beyond All Limits mod. This is the chain’s in-house reshade, which you can use to give the light and shadow effects a particularly realistic grain. Instead, look at the result!

Well harnessed horse required

To achieve such a magnificent result, Digital Dreams has detailed the PC configuration used. Of course, you have to reckon with a monstrous graphics card in the person of the RTX 4090. It is supported on the processor side by a Ryzen 9 7950x. Also count on 32GB of DDR5 RAM, more specifically the G-Skill Trident 6000 MHz kit. Finally, everything is stored on a Samsung 970 Evo Plus M.2 SSD with a capacity of 1 TB.

Unfortunately, visual excellence comes at a price. But such a configuration allows you to be ready for the most demanding games like Cyberpunk 2077 or the future graphics slaps of the stunning Unreal Engine 5.
