Mocked, sometimes harshly but often rightly, full motion video (FMV) games were quickly put on hold when they first appeared in the early 1990s. Thanks to technological advances and innovative ideas from developers, live-action games have been making a comeback for several years. Situation in which the beneficiaries of the first games of the genre try one after the other to recover.

Night Trap, Corpse Killer, Ground Zero: Texas or, more recently, Plumbers Don’t Wear Ties are among the first “glories” of the game in full motion video that have had a second life on current consoles in recent years. The case of the game in question today is to be put aside, however.
Indeed, Editor Ziggurat Interactive just announced the marketing of American Hero this t. If this title doesn’t mean anything to you, that’s doubly normal. Mainly because it was originally created for the Jaguar CD (the Atari Jaguar add-on). Second, because it has never been extinguished, because its development has never been completed.
The game publisher presents this new version of American Hero as a remaster and restoration of a game that has been lost for over 25 years. In this title, the player embodies Jack, a former American spy who came out of retirement for one last mission. According to the subtle and subtle plot of the game, Jack must arrest the hellish Krueger, a virologist who threatens to spread a mind control virus across the city of Los Angeles. In terms of directing, American Hero is billed as a game that embodies the hero of a ’90s action movie.

When these lines were written, the exact release date and the platforms involved in this freshly completed version of American Hero are unknown. Ziggurat Interactive has only indicated that the game will be offered on “consoles” and PC.
