LEGO has just unveiled a brand new set, and this one is a true visual marvel. So much so that it’s hard not to give in. We tell you all about it.
A new LEGO set is attracting attention even before its official announcement: it’s the Spatial Artemis set, which was discovered by chance in a store at Taipei Airport. This find is reminiscent of a similar incident last year where a model was unveiled before its launch. The new set numbered 10341 contains the Artemis I rocket and its launch pad, a total of 3,601 pieces. And it’s great!
A beautiful LEGO set
The focus of the set is on the faithful replica of the Artemis I rocket, accompanied by its side engines. The highlight of the show, however, is undoubtedly the launch pad itself. An imposing structure made of gray bricks. Although the kit is designed primarily for display and features few internal details such as control rooms or cockpits, it promises to be an impressive addition for collectors.
The official launch of the LEGO Artemis Space Launch System is scheduled for May 15th. With an announced price of $259.99/Euro. The LEGO Group is expected to announce further details about the set in the coming days. It is not yet confirmed whether this set will come with an exclusive gift, as has been the case with previous collaborations between LEGO and NASA.
The last LEGO NASA set was the 2,300-piece Space Shuttle Discovery, released in 2021. The new Artemis set appears to be renewing enthusiasm for LEGO space models. Offers an intricate and detailed build that is sure to fascinate astronomy enthusiasts and LEGO enthusiasts alike.
History point
The Artemis I rocket is part of NASA’s Artemis program, which aims to return humans to the moon and eventually establish a permanent presence there. Artemis I in particular is an unmanned mission. The main purpose is to test the Orion space launch system and the Orion capsule. Designed to transport astronauts to the Moon in future missions.
