Just a little over a month before the release of Dragon Ball Sparking Zero, the game treats us to a trailer that introduces more of the iconic characters that will make up the massive roster.

With 164 playable characters, Dragon Ball Sparking Zero will feature one of the largest rosters ever for a game inspired by the legendary work of the late Akira Toriyama. From DBZ to Super to GT to the adventures of Goku as a child, Spike Chunsoft clearly has no intention of forgetting anyone. Its publisher Bandai Namco has given us a date today with a trailer showcasing the new additions to this colossal roster of iconic characters.

More iconic characters announced for Dragon Ball Sparking Zero

With Dragon Ball Sparking Zero, Spike Chunsoft clearly wants to send a love letter to the legendary shonen, leaving out no part of its enormous history. And all this following the popular Budokai Tenkaichi formula, with spectacular fights and profound destruction of the landscape. However, this new work will skip the exploration and open world part of previous titles. A decision clearly welcomed by fans, a sign that the game is heading in the right direction. The same observation applies to a story mode that goes off the beaten track and allows you to change the events of the various storylines.

However, a fighting game set in the universe of the late Akira Toriyama would be nothing without its countless fighters. After a previous trailer that focused on the Cell arc and leaks related to the Buu arc, among others, here is a new video that introduces us to other characters that will join Dragon Ball Sparking Zero when it releases on October 11 on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series. The trailer, which actually focuses on the Buu arc according to the leaks, is obviously impressive in doing justice to these iconic characters. You can find it below, as well as the detailed list of new additions to the game’s roster:

  • Great Saiyaman
  • Adult Gohan (normal and Super Saiyan)
  • Babidi
  • Buu (in all its forms)
  • Request blood
  • Vegeta
  • Goku Super Saiyan 3
  • Gotrenks Super Saiyan 3
  • Vegeto (normal and Super Saiyan)
