The old hands in particular will surely remember the times when battles were not fought with realistic weapons like in Counter-Strike and Call of Duty, but enemies exploded with a glorious "HALLELUJAH!" Those who indulge in nostalgia now will be happy to hear that Team 17 is one for 2020 new part of the cult series Worms has announced.

Judging by the first teaser on Twitter, you can expect a lot of the well-known weapons. In addition to the tried and tested bazooka, you will once again become crazy explosives like that Holy grenade and sheep to your arsenal.
What is worms?
You enter in Worms turn-based fighting with a group of worms against enemy teams. You either have to reduce the enemy worms' life to zero, or simply blow them off the map with explosions and the like.
The title is characterized above all by its crazy weapons out. So you can attack enemies with banana bombs, flying super sheep or concrete donuts. Tactics are not left out. When using projectiles, you have to calculate the wind strength in the trajectory, for example.
Prepare for change
The short video leaves some room for interpretation on the question of whether a classic Worms awaits us or a new interpretation: the teaser begins with some scenes from the very first Worms, which was released in 1995. The announcement tweet speaks of »New ways to play«
In the past, Worms always reinvented itself. This is how it once made the leap from 2D to 3D, but this was received with little love. Then it went back to the familiar two-dimensional battles. With WMD appeared the last part so far in 2016 and expanded the battles to include vehicles.

@ kawaraban5Worms is one of the games that defined my childhood. How many evenings I spent fiddling with the ninja rope and firing banana bombs around my brother's ears just to be blown away by a super sheep! I'm very pleased that Team 17 has suddenly announced a new part.
However, a little worry remains. Because the teaser shows the first part of 1995 I loved and thus indicates a return to the roots, at the same time my nostalgic memories are also shattered by a baseball bat. I can only hope that Team 17 will save me another 3D trip.
