The September 2024 Xbox Game Pass games updated the strategy with juggernauts, and in fact, at the time of publishing this article, they were all available to Ultimate subscribers. Fans of the genre can treat themselves to the very good Frostpunk 2 and Age of Mythology Retold on Series X|S via the cloud and/or PC. For everyone else who hasn’t subscribed to the service yet, there’s a nice gift with a cult license that’s free to play ahead of the big return.
In fact, before the release of the next game Commands: OriginsPublisher Kalypso Media and Claymore Game Studios have released a Demo playable in the Xbox Store and Steam. A very nice gift that includes a unique test mission “Operation Prelude”. What awaits you? An incursion into the Channel Islands requires you to manage two units. The Green Beret, with his combat knife, Colt M1911 pistol and sound decoys to distract enemies, and the Swimmer with his throwing knives, deadly precision and rocks divert the attention of enemies to better neutralize them.
We know someone in the newsroom who is probably already warming up their contacts to download the demo available on Xbox Series X|S and PC. This mission serves to showcase Commandos: Origins’ solo gameplay ahead of the release of the full game, which will include 14 solo missions and a multiplayer mode. On PC, the free trial supports Xbox controllers or keyboard/mouse combinations.
