A documentary about Tony Hawk's Pro Skater game series "Pretend I'm Superman" will premiere next week at the Mmm Film Festival in California.
According to Mic, pretending to be Superman will follow the wider skate industry and the dangerous situation of the early 1990s. Tony Hawk's professional skateboarding game ultimately played an important role in bringing skateboarding to the mainstream as a sport and lifestyle.
The documentary was co-produced by Ralph D'Amato, a former professional skateboarder franchise, and Swedish filmmaker Ludvig Gur, and was indigo earlier in 2017 The campaign failed and was first announced in August.
The film has extensive interviews with Hawk and other skate pioneers, including Rodney Mullen, Steve Caballero, and Chad Muska (Chad Muska). After the film is shown, both Hawke and Mullen will participate in a panel discussion with the filmmaker.
Pretend I'm Superman and will premiere on February 29.
