In technical jargon, Resident Evil 4 Remake is known as an open secret. Everyone knows it and it only remains for Capcom to formalize its existence. But while players who keep themselves updated know the game exists, they haven’t seen what it will look like. That’s why we’re talking about attention today.
It could be that one of the voice actors for Resident Evil 4 Remake leaked confidential artwork from the game. As reported by the VGC site, this leak would be the work of DC Douglas, the American voice of Albert Wesker. The latter would have sent the artwork in question to several fans via direct message on Twitter.
If he also asked the same fans not to publish this picture publicly, then his request was clearly not granted. This artwork, transferred from Twitters “Caution CreepyVAs“Apparently shows Wesker as he will appear in Resident Evil 4 Remake. Especially in Separate Ways mode with Ada Wong.
To flee is not to gamble
In a second tweet, BewareCreepyVAs presents an excerpt from a private conversation between DC Douglas and a tweeter. In the latter, the voice actor begs not to share this work of art because he “could be sued“(from Capcom). This shows that he knew he was d isregarding the confidentiality agreement that binds him to Capcom.
Nonetheless, he also points out that, according to the document provided by Capcom, Wesker is 43 years old in Resident Evil 4 Remake (he was 38 years old during the events of Raccoon City).
After spreading this work of art on social networks, DC Douglas deleted his Twitter account. And on his side Facebook Official he says he is not currently under contract with Capcom. He adds that he will no longer comment on Resident Evil 4 rumors.
Resident Evil 4 Remake does not officially exist
Capcom has not commented on this leak at the time of writing. And it seems likely that he won’t. However, the demeanor of DC Douglas when the image began rotating on Twitter suggests that the artwork is authentic.
As a reminder, there have been rumors of the development of Resident Evil 4 Remake for more than a year. According to a rumor earlier this year, Capcom has brought development of the game back in-house. This remake was originally supposed to be developed by M-Two, the studio behind the remake of Resident Evil 3. However, disagreements between Capcom and its subcontractor would have thwarted the plans.
Capcom hasn’t officially announced Resident Evil 4 Remake yet. And nothing allows to say at the moment when she will do it.
