a final announcement before the game’s final death

announcement, Death, Final, Games

The Day Before, one of the most disastrous games of all time, has finally been removed from Steam. But it’s not quite over yet and the Fntastic studio has one final announcement.

After false promises, a disastrous release, and cancellation less than a week after release, The Day Before will remain one of the biggest scams ever seen in video games. “Unfortunately, The Day Before failed financially and we lacked the resources to continue.” the developers announced on December 11th. Literally four days after release. And we can wonder where the money went, as the studio was mainly accused of asset theft and exploiting volunteers. If refunds still need to be made, we have news about the burial of the “game”.

A shutdown date for The Day Before servers

The Day Before is therefore almost dead as Steam has already taken the necessary steps to remove it from the store. However, this gave rise to a new scam involving the resale of keys at high prices by unscrupulous users. We are still talking about keys that are offered for 200 dollars or even accounts that have the title installed for 1000 dollars. Of course, there’s only one thing that helps: escape and don’t succumb to temptation.

When the Fntastic studio announced the killing of The Day Before, it warned that people would be given a refund and that the servers would be taken offline. However, there was no specific date until then. This is the case now that teams have at least made the effort to communicate on the topic. And there’s good news for refunds.

Dear community,

We regret to inform you that the Fntastic company has officially ceased its activities. Therefore, The Day Before servers will be closed on January 22, 2024. As previously mentioned, Mytona, as an investor, has worked with Steam to allow all buyers to receive refunds for the game. Steam is now proactively compensating all players who have not yet received a refund.

We would like to express our gratitude to the community for their support throughout the project. Unfortunately, without a development team, we had no choice but to stop everything. We would like to thank everyone who supported us on this adventure and wish you all a happy holiday.

X-Street.

A communication with a strangely positive tone that has not gone unnoticed by Internet users after everything that has happened.
