James Gunn can no longer hold back the leaks about Superman films. After the first video, Henry Cavill’s successor in the role of Clark Kent is revealed.
Director James Gunn (Guardians of the Galaxy) and part of the Superman cast have taken over certain streets in Cleveland to start production on the next film. David Corenswet, who plays the superhero, Rachel Brosnahan (Lois Lane), Edi Gathegi (Mr Terrific) and Wendell Pierce (Perry White) were currently seen on set. We had never seen the superhero’s alter ego before, but now it’s a done deal. And the change from man of Steel with Henry Cavill is here!
Clark Kent from the new Superman movie appears
The filming of James Gunn’s Superman seems to be quite accessible, and one passerby was surprised to be able to walk across a set in peace and take beautiful photos. Others showed a little more discretion and so we got to see a first video of Superman in costume. Some were convinced by what they saw, others spoke of a failed cosplay with an actor swimming in his clothes. The truth may lie somewhere in between, but either way it’s too early to draw conclusions. We’ll have to wait for a trailer.
But thanks to Superman filming in Cleveland and fans on alert, a first picture of David Corenswet as Clark Kent leaked on the internet. So what happens? Well, at the moment the difference between the Daily Planet journalist and his alter ego is more obvious than in Henry Cavill’s version. Whether physically (for example the face, the haircut) or the posture, we perceive the two personalities Clark Kent and Superman.
