According to a former Nintendo marketer, the company doesn't exactly “like these Switch 2 leaks happening,” but its plans are no different.
I can't remember the last time people were so passionate about an unreleased console, well, maybe the original Switch, but even then I don't think people were as engrossed as the Switch 2. If you ask Nintendo, there have been a lot of rumors and alleged leaks that turned out to be less than official, with some even using tarot cards to try and figure out when it would launch. We obviously still don't know how big all the leaks are, but former Nintendo director of social media marketing and original content Kit Ellis shared how he thinks it might affect Nintendo's plans, or rather, How it didn't affect Nintendo's plans, in a new Patreon video (thanks to GamesRadar).

“One thing we've been trying to convey is that Nintendo values long-term plans over short-term opportunities, and they changed the date of the Switch release. [2] “What's happening now is a reaction to short-term things that are happening,” Ellis said. A good question is whether what's happening now will affect the Switch 2 for the next seven years, or how many years this generation will last. ? I think if you look at it carefully, you'll see, no, probably not.
“It's not a good time for them, it's an uncomfortable moment for them and they don't like what's going on, but once they announced it and played the game, they started playing , they share their information…a lot of it will be in the rearview mirror.” Ellis also noted that the most important thing for Nintendo right now is that no games have leaked yet. Obviously, that's the big deal that really matters, as today's hardware is more about incremental improvements than anything else. However, it would be great if it could be revealed soon.
