Bad luck for Blizzard. A gameplay video of a new Overwatch 2 hero leaked just ahead of his time. Here’s what Sojourn has in store
Less than two short weeks before the opening of the Overwatch 2 closed beta. While Blizzard waits for mere mortals to finally get their hands on this early version of its FPS, Blizzard is intensifying its communication. And unfortunately, a video was just accidentally published on the web.
Gameplay for Sojourn
Small hiccup. Blizzard will feature Sojourn, its new Overwatch 2 heroine, in a special live this Thursday, April 14 at 8 p.m. On the fringes of the event, the publisher has already released a video introducing this new character and his journey. However, the Taiwanese branch of the game made a small mistake and revealed a gameplay trailer just beforehand. Accidentally released and immediately deleted, the video features Sojourn and his cybernetic abilities
Unsurprisingly, the former Overwatch captain will fit into the DPS category. At first glance, its gameplay may be almost similar to that of Soldier 76, but that shouldn’t be the case. The Canadian is particularly agile and can glide and fire her main weapon at the same time. The latter has two firing modes, a more classic one in the form of an assault rifle and a devastating ray gun capable of traversing multiple targets at once. For her ultimate ability, she appears to fire a projectile from her arm that causes a field that damages affected targets.
Overwatch 2 Beta is coming soon
Since the video is entirely in Taiwanese, we’ll have to wait for the official broadcast to better understand its capabilities. The most observant fans will also notice some new outfits of their favorite heroes, including Ashe and Bob, Sigma, Moira or even Baptiste.
Remember, those lucky enough to have access to the Overwatch 2 closed beta on April 26th can try Sojourn for themselves. In addition, the revisions of Sombra, Orisa, Doomfist and Bastion, new maps and the new game mode Push can be tested.
