All versions of The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt will receive a new update very soon that should fix some issues on PS5, Xbox Series and PC.
More than seven years after its release, The Witcher 3 was entitled to a real overhaul. THE Next-gen patch Released in December 2022, the game gave a second life to the open-world RPG. The perfect opportunity to immerse yourself in the adventures of Geralt de Riv, thanks to a whole host of graphical improvements and gameplay changes that will make it easier to get started. However, like a big one remaster, this new version was not free from defects when it was launched. CD Projekt RED continues to iron out imperfections and bugs stains. The next one is coming very soon.
Unpatch The Witcher 3 arrives
The PS5 and Xbox Series versions of The Witcher 3 are about to get even better. CD Projekt RED has confirmed that the console and PC builds will receive a new update in just a few hours. On its Twitter account, the company announced that the patch can be deployed this Monday, March 13, 2023.To update
What will it fix? The patch The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt will primarily focus on improving game stability and performance, occasionally fixing some bugs as well. However, we still have to wait a little longer for the realistic vulva mod to be removed. For the record, where the original game hid enemies’ private parts with a sort of Barbie effect, the next-gen versions didn’t skimp on the details. CD Projekt RED had since confirmed that it was a mess with the integration modifications on the PS5 and Xbox series. The problem should be fixed in a later patch.

PC version
- Improved CPU usage with DX 12.
- Ambient occlusion restoration. Players who previously disabled it will need to do so again. You can find it under Options → Video → Graphics.
- Fixed an issue where the “My Rewards” section was not localized in REDlauncher.
- Fixed a landscape flickering issue in the Toussaint DLC that occurred when NVIDIA HairWorks was disabled.
- Fixed an issue with Particle Optimization that could cause temporary glitches.
Console versions of The Witcher 3
- Improved performance mode on next-gen consoles.
- Fixed an issue where characters could become slightly blurry during dialogue and cutscenes on PS5.
- Fixed a memory usage issue in ray tracing mode that could cause crashes on Xbox Series X.
- What you sow, you will reap… – The game no longer crashes when Geralt runs away from Shani after he started the conversation about next gen consoles.
- Fixed an issue where quicksaves would not load when using cross-progression on Xbox One.
- Added two “Premium Swords”! absent on previous generation consoles.
- Fixed an issue with overwriting manual saves that, under certain circumstances, would delete the oldest save on PlayStation 5.
- Fixed performance issues in Beauclair and Novigrad after loading a saved game.
Graphics – PC, Xbox Series and PS5
- Enhanced water by adding refraction to SSR and ray tracing highlights.
- Fixed a brick texture visual issue where black artifacts covered stone arches.
- Added motion blur slider. It can be found under Options → Video → Graphics.
Quests and Gameplay (All Platforms)
- Battle Preparations – Fixed the lack of a dialogue option to progress the quest during the objective “Let Avallac’h Know All Is Ready”.
- Reason of State – Fixed an issue where the warehouse door could become permanently locked if the player knocked, entered the building, and then immediately exited.
- Treasure Hunt – Cat School Upgrade Plans (Part 1) – Fixed an issue where the quest could remain active even after the plans were looted.
- Fixed an issue where attempting to start a new game+ in an incompatible saved game would prevent the player from starting expansions in standalone mode until the game was restarted.
Localization of The Witcher 3
- Fixed an issue with the descriptions of Ciri and Geralt’s Gwent cards for the Korean translation.
- Fixed punctuation issues in Arabic translation.
- Updated Traditional Chinese font.
