The RTX 30 shortage is still alive and well, and Nvidia wants to turn the scales a bit by offering hybrid RTX 2060s to its customers.
Even if the market is gradually improving, it is still quite difficult to find specific Nvidia RTX 30 graphics cards, and we learned last September that the manufacturer will be releasing the RTX 2060s in 2021 (or 2022) sauce. This time we can learn a little more from the indiscretions of the very informed VideoCardz.
Un hybrid made in Nvidia
This famous card Nvidia RTX 2060 12 GB would have the same configuration as the RTX 2060 Super, BUT with a slightly different memory configuration than the classic RTX 2060. In fact, the number of CUDA cores would be 2176 compared to 1920 CUDA cores for the 2060. So we would be clearly on a hybrid between two GPUs. Regarding the boost clock, two sources explain that this is a 1650 MHz boost by default, with variants (ex works) being overclocked to 1690 MHz.
Technically very similar to that RTX 2060 12 Go but would have a TDP of 184 W compared to 175 W for the RTX 2060 Super. The consumption would therefore be higher. After all, the bus would be 192-bit compared to a 256-bit bus in the super variant.
Here’s what to keep in mind:
- GPU : 12 nm TU106
- WONDER : 2176
- clock : 1650 MHz
- Storage : 12 Go
- Memory bus : 192 bits
- TDP : 184 watts
Under the Christmas tree?
According to information from VideoCardz, the launch of the cards for the December 7, 2021. What, let’s hope, put one of those lovely Nvidia toys under the tree. We hope this will help meet some customers’ expectations. Especially those who are desperate to configure a PC but cannot afford the current prices of the RTX 30.
this RTX 2060 12 Go should logically be around 300 dollars. Certainly a little more when the supplier shelves run out.
