With a certain Sonic celebrating his thirtieth birthday too late, Capcom seems determined to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the legendary Street Fighter saga the way it should be.
Get ready for a shot of the old in the shape of an uppercut: It’s actually 35 years ago this summer that Street Fighter First of the Name landed in Japanese arcades with its big snap buttons that won’t stay in history. The sequel, you know it: The world of versus fighting and video games was forever changed with what was once considered a sequel to a particular Final Fight.

Street Fighter’s 35th Anniversary
Street Fighter celebrates its 35th anniversary in 2022! With your support, we have created a logo to make this anniversary exciting.

If there was Street Fighter VI, it would probably be with Luke’s presence at the casting, but without the participation of famous executive producer Yoshinori Ono, who flew to other horizons in 2020. Recall that in 2017 Capcom took advantage of the 30-year saga to skillfully offer a certain Ultra Street Fighter II, and the compilation of the 30th Anniversary Collection was a reminder of the illustrious strides made in the following year.
