There are some problems with FF14 and players are worried. What happens in MMORPG? Here’s what we know about it so far.
The servers of FF14, Square Enix’s famous MMORPG, are currently experiencing severe technical disruptions following a DDoS attack. This attack, revealed in a press release on The Lodestone’s official website, affects players’ connection to data center worlds in North America, Europe, Japan and Oceania. Don’t worry, it’s not your fault.
FF14 has problems
These technical issues include difficulty accessing servers and problems sending and receiving data. The nature and extent of the attack concerns many fans of the game, especially since Square Enix has not yet provided any information about the identity of the attackers or the progress of the measures taken.
The company assured that it is fully committed to resolving these issues and will take all necessary measures to counter the attack. Despite these assurances, there remains uncertainty about how long the disruptions will last or whether other titles in the series may be affected in the future.
The timing of this attack is particularly sensitive for Square Enix, which just held a fan festival in Tokyo last week and recently announced the release of FF14’s next major expansion, Dawntrail, scheduled for July 2, 2024 Xbox in February 2024, increasing the player base.
This situation also comes as fans are eagerly awaiting the final installment of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake, scheduled to be released within the next three years.
