The latest free game in The Elder Scrolls license is receiving a major update with many elements that players have particularly requested.
Officially released worldwide for iOS and Android last September, The Elder Scrolls Castles is an adaptation of the excellent Fallout Shelter for Bethesda’s cult hero fantasy franchise. A month later, it received a major update, particularly related to Halloween, but which also took the opportunity to integrate several welcome features and adjustments in response to player feedback.
Unlike the disappointing The Elder Scrolls Legends and Blades, Castles appears to have enjoyed great success since its global release last month. However, the free mobile game is still far from perfect. Bethesda is therefore using an October update related to Halloween to introduce features and adjustments that keep cropping up on players’ complaints lists.
A Witch Festival is taking place in The Elder Scrolls Castles until November 4th, giving you the opportunity to restore unique characters and decorations to your castle. The ability to revive your minions also makes its debut, but in exchange for Soul Gems, which are only available through Legendary Packs and Heirlooms. Among the adjustments made to castles with the October update, we can mention a dynasty level cap raised to 300 or the ability to start again at level 1 to rebuild your own castle.
Players can also connect with their friends via Game Center/Google Plays or join a competitive leaderboard for the best castles or the best score in a raid. Sheogorath’s also benefits from a significant reorientation for faster runs with better rewards. Given Castles’ seemingly successful launch, we can bet that more similar updates will be available over time. A good way to wait until The Elder Scrolls 6, which is currently very far away?
