Cyberpunk 2077 leaked one of its DLCs that we will unfortunately never see. Still, it was promising. Maybe for Cyberpunk 2?
It’s good, we know CD Projekt has definitely released Cyberpunk 2077. The whole studio is now working on other projects: The Witcher 4, The Witcher remake or even the sequel to Cyberpunk, exactly. However, the story could have continued if these new leaks that recently surfaced online are to be believed.
The Cyberpunk 2077 DLC has leaked again, but we’ll never see it
As with the Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 leaks, it is once again Insider Gaming Who discovered the leak on social media? Again, these are files that are not from yesterday, as they would have been online since … 2021. CD Projekt was once again the victim of a hack and conceptual files were removed. At the time, apparently no one had really gotten involved, until today.
In these images and files full of concepts, we are talking about a lunar DLC. Apparently, this Cyberpunk 2077 expansion was supposed to take place on the moon. We don’t know what the story was about, but many abandoned illustrations and 3D models show lunar environments, buildings or even objects that would have made up this entire space world. A highly anticipated version of the potential map is even visible, giving us a glimpse of several points of interest, including craters where structures are located. As a reminder, in principle the moon was supposed to be a real destination in Cyberpunk 2077, a sort of haven of peace. This is also one of the themes addressed in the game’s only DLC, without us unfortunately being able to see it.
But if we never see the moon in Cyberpunk 2077, maybe these concepts will be kept for Cyberpunk 2, you never know.
We will not complain, we have Phantom Liberty
The only DLC available for Cyberpunk 2077 is currently the excellent Phantom Liberty, starring an ultra-charismatic Idris Elba. A new region to explore, new weapons and skills, and a story that smacks of espionage are on the menu for this DLC, which has been highly appreciated by players and the press elsewhere. Added to this was an imposing update, a 2.0 overhaul that has helped the game enormously.
The latter is available to all players without having to get their hands on the DLC. After a chaotic launch, Cyberpunk 2077 managed to come out of it in the best possible way. It’s a shame it’s over anyway. Now we wait to see what happens next and maybe then we’ll fly to the moon. Cyberpunk 2077 is available on PS5, Xbox Series and PC, but also on the old generation console. However, the Phantom Liberty DLC is exclusive to PS5, Xbox Series and PC.
