Not all Nintendo Switch gamers may know this, but Big N has been allowing some of them to try new titles for free every month for a while now.
Like every month, barring exceptional circumstances, Nintendo Switch players can discover a new game for a limited time. For January 2023, the Japanese publisher has decided to offer a new free game ideal for spending evenings with friends or family.
A new free Nintendo Switch Online game
The routine will continue in 2023. With its “Game on Trial”, Nintendo regularly presents popular games that are sometimes unknown to the general public. As the name suggests, you can try a game for free, but only for a limited period of time. Last year, the Japanese company focused on big titles like Monster Hunter Rise, Pokkén Tournament DX or Mario + Rabbids. In January 2023, Nintendo Switch players can therefore try a new game that is less imposing but just as enjoyable: UNO.
The famous +4 card game that can ruin years of friendship is back in a Ubisoft video game. Unsurprisingly, this title takes all the basic game concepts by adapting them to the Nintendo Switch. The goal remains to be the first to get rid of all your cards, using and abusing the penalties to inflict damage on your opponents. This version still offers some original features, including the ability to customize its games with a number of unique variants, allowing you to add a new dose of challenge and new attribute conditions. This free Nintendo Switch game can of course be played online, but also in co-op with up to 4 players across the same number of consoles. Attention, it is subject to conditions, not everyone can use this trial version.
From January 19 to January 26, 2023, only Nintendo Switch Online subscribers can play UNO for free. As usual, they have unlimited access to the full game and its content for over a week. Enough to allow players to discover this title and possibly crack it later thanks to a discount offered at the same time for the game.
