Good or bad surprise, you’ll judge for yourself, but a new Game of Thrones game has just been officially announced with the presence of Jon Snow.
Warner Bros. and HBO won’t be letting go of Game of Thrones anytime soon. Several new series, not all of which may be realized, are in development. Following the rumor, Casey Bloys, the head of the channel and platform SVOD Max, also confirmed the development of a feature film. However, this project is currently in a very early stage, so no further information is available. There will also be a new game to match the A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms series, which will be released in 2025.
Game of Thrones Kingsroad game announced via video
A new game Game of Thrones Kingsroad has been revealed, but you will be disillusioned. This is not the MMORPG that leaked this year, nor an extremely ambitious title for consoles and PC, but an iOS and Android mobile game. An action software, if the first trailer is to be believed, which mixes cinematics and gameplay excerpts, with Jon Snow, his companions of the Night’s Watch, giants and, above all, the White Walkers. The Night King even waits to be corrected.
This Game of Thrones Kingsroad game is connected to the series as Jon Snow’s appearance is based on that of his actor Kit Harrington. As the name suggests, we find the Royal Road leading up to the Wall and perhaps Castle Black, the Night’s Watch stronghold. Game of Thrones Kingsroad is developed by South Korean studio Netmarble and will therefore be available for iOS and Android next year.
For the rest, we don’t know more since the announcement doesn’t reveal any further details and the official site only contains this first trailer. There have been several video game adaptations in the past, most notably Game of Thrones A Telltale Games Series, but none of them left an impression. And I’m not sure that doesn’t change anything at first glance…
