The Thursday afternoon ritual continues. A new freeware from Epic Games Store is available and highly rated by players.
No nasty surprises this week. Where last week players panicked and thought there were no free games on the Epic Games Store, but that happened a little later than the usual slot, today we already know what to expect.
The new free game on the Epic Games Store is available
Whoever says Thursday says free play. As every week at 5 p.m. sharp, the Epic Games Store offers PC players the opportunity to get hold of one or more free games. After the small delay in launching last week, the store offers a new title that is very well rated and appreciated by fans of the genre. From August 25th, 2022 to September 1st at 5pm PST, players can claim Ring of Pain.
This new free-to-play game is a hybrid of deck builder, roguelike, and procedurally generated circular dungeon crawling. Getting out of it requires making good decisions that could otherwise prove fatal. All in all, the title offers 25 special dungeons, loot, 50 creatures to master and more than 300 items to unlock.
Best of all, Destiny 2 fans can also grab Bungie’s 30th Anniversary Bundle through August 30 at 7:00 p.m. at EGS. It includes a new dungeon, the exotic Gjallarhorn rocket launcher, the Thistle armor set, gear, an arsenal, and cosmetics inspired by Bungie’s past.
What are the next free games?
And for next week? What will be the next free game from the Epic Games Store? It will be a double gift and make people happy. Ring of Pain is replaced by Shadow of the Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition and Submerged: Hidden Depths. The first is the final part of Lara Croft’s adventure trilogy. This edition includes all 7 DLC challenge tombs as well as all downloadable weapons, outfits and skills.
The second is an independent game where the action is based on exploration, all without combat. The title was very well received by the players. These two new free games will be available from January 1stis to September 8th at 5pm French time.
