It’s no secret that despite its success, Lost Ark is still infested with bots. And Amazon and Smilegate will obviously be hitting hard to combat this devastation.
Amazon and Smilegate are working hard to combat Lost Ark bots without ruining the experience for honest users. As such, the studio will launch a new series of bans, warning players in advance of potential disruptions and what to do if their accounts are accidentally impacted.
Large-scale operation in Lost Ark
The studio recognizes that sometimes it is imperative to cast a wide net and hit harder on a larger scale. This ban wave might mess up the game data a bit:
You should expect larger fluctuations in the number of concurrent users playing Lost Ark, especially in queues
Players’ accounts can even get banned accidentally, but if this happens support will be notified and can roll back on a case-by-case basis. At the moment we don’t have any details on how the locks work, but there is no doubt that in due course the Smilegate studio will update the community as before.
A real plague
While there are no details yet, it looks like previous bot ban actions, the team will eventually update some information on what has been done and how players may be affected.
We know the bot issue is an ongoing issue for players and there is still work to be done. Our teams at Amazon Games and Smilegate RPG continue to work on a variety of tools and options to help rid Arkesia of bots on a larger scale. We’ve shared information about some of these efforts in the past and will provide additional details on future plans when we can. Until then, we thank you for your patience.
