God of War Ragnarok has just received a new update. So what difference does this make to the experience? Well, you will see, there is a very annoying error that will disappear.
Last year, God of War Ragnarok caused a surprise with the release of DLC. Valhalla surprised players with extensive and, frankly, entertaining additional content. Now that it’s out, what does the future of the game hold? Is it time to look forward to the future of the franchise? Not quite. Santa Monica has another “surprise” in store in the form of an update. The studio intends to continue refining its latest addition, and we’ll see what changes emerge.
A new patch for God of War Ragnarok
Patch 5.05 follows the first patch of 2024, which was deployed about a week ago. As a reminder, in the list of changes for version 5.04 we found a slightly changed version of the expansion’s point calculation, but not only that. Various and varied bugs that affected the gameplay or the New Game+ mode have been fixed . All of this is to say that it wasn’t necessarily consistent, but that it still served God of War Ragnarok well. With that said, let’s see what the new update has in store for us.
This means she is smaller than her eldest. We’re actually facing a patch that fixes small persistent issues. After all, that doesn’t mean it isn’t necessary. In particular, we have a change in mind that will no longer cause a crash when launching God of War Ragnarok: Valhalla from the main menu. It’s never pleasant to encounter a technical problem like this, so we consider ourselves lucky. Other than this small touch-up, there isn’t much to consider.
We just note another fix that also eliminates a possible crash that could occur in the menus. So yes, it’s an update that won’t break any duck’s legs. Nevertheless, it is clear that the successor from Santa Monica is impeccable. The company could actually devote its heart and soul to the next project, but still takes the time to listen to the feedback from the community. It remains to be seen whether this was the final update for God of War Ragnarok or not.
The return of the trilogy for 2024?
Before we even learn more about the next God of War, we could be in for a big surprise. The trilogy that pitted Kratos against the Greek pantheon may return to PS5. The rumor gained momentum when the studio didn’t allow questions about it to be answered during a question-and-answer session with YouTuber GameBreakerGod. For some, this is an important note, although Santa Monica may have declined to focus on the DLC, which was the main focus.
There’s no official confirmation yet and we don’t really know if we can expect one. Current Kratos actor Christopher Judge explained that he was contacted to recreate the voice of Terrence Carson, the god of war’s former voice actor. Apparently the request did not come from the company behind the games. Can we rely on this to make a statement? It’s difficult to say. Conclusion: Mystery and bubble gum, but it leaves you wanting more.
