A new Generation 9 Pokémon has just been revealed. Inspired by the Aye-aye of Madagascar, the design of this first Poison/Normal creature has won fans over.
Incidentally, November 18th is fast approaching and Nintendo continues its communication campaign around Pokemon Scarlet/Purple. After a small teaser of a few days, the developers revealed one of the games’ new creatures. It’s anything but unanimous.
A new Pokemon from Scarlet & Violet revealed
As tradition dictates, the Paldea region will be home to new creatures. Some have already been revealed through the various trailers and each reveal does not miss the reaction of the oh so passionate community. If some agreed, like Pohm the Little Mouse or Pâtachiot, this is not the case with TagTag. Freshly announced with its own CGI trailer, this new Pokémon is dividing fans.
Of both Venom and Normal type, a major first, this nocturnal Venom Monkey measuring 1/4″ for 67 lbs rampages by nightfall. This new Pokémon coats its fingers in its poisonous saliva and paints patterns on the trees in its territory. A tactic that lures their insect-like congeners, who are then paralyzed. In battle, he can learn the Discharge or Toxic Touch talents.
But it’s not so much his facial features that fans respond to as his look, which is based on an aye-aye. Some just find it hideous, ugly, unsightly, the terms merging all over social networks and Reddit. Others believe it’s cute, that its design works very well, or even that it’s one of the most inspired lately. As is usual with the Pokemon community, the reactions are always very strong. On November 18th, you will have the choice of whether or not you want to integrate him into your team.
