Contrary to all expectations, Metroid Prime 4 has finally appeared after a long absence. But Nintendo had another video ready that whets the appetite for more.
Metroid Prime 4 Beyond was the highlight of the last Nintendo Direct. While waiting for the announced 2025 release, Big N had content up his sleeve that still showcased the beautiful art direction of this extremely closely observed first-person continuation of the adventures of Samus Aran.
A video beyond the presentati on of Metroid Prime 4
Fans have had to wait seven years since the very first announcement of the development of Metroid Prime 4. The third work, which offers a third-person perspective for the famous bounty hunter Samus Aran, dates back to 2007. To say that the presentation of its gameplay with a release window a few days ago has given them great joy is an understatement. Especially since the project seems to have suffered numerous setbacks, raising doubts about its good health.
Seeing him in action and looking better than ever was very reassuring. But Nintendo hadn’t exhausted all its cartridges when it came to Metroid Prime 4. A video posted on the official Japanese website allows us to further admire the forest planet that we see at the end of the official presentation. We can see the remarkable work of the studio on this sequel in terms of artistic direction, with very detailed and quite impressive environments. This additional video was shared by Luigi on X.comavailable below.
To be able to play Samus Aran in the first person again, however, you will have to be patient. Metroid Prime 4 is currently scheduled for Nintendo Switch in 2025. Let’s also remember that the Switch 2 is scheduled to be released in April 2025, so we can bet that this highly anticipated sequel will be part of the launch lineup of an equally highly anticipated console. It wouldn’t be surprising if the title was “cross-generational,” either. See you next year to find out for sure.
