While CD Projekt RED announced that it was completely finished with Cyberpunk 2077, here is finally a nice surprise message for many players.
Cyberpunk 2077 and its Phantom Liberty DLC are now available in an Ultimate Edition for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series, but had left one last platform neglected on their hunting list. This trap will finally be fixed soon, as CD Projekt RED states in a blog article on the game’s official website. We’re obviously not making any compromises with the Polish studio.
Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate Edition will soon bite Apple
In addition to its disastrous PS4 and Xbox One versions, Cyberpunk 2077 has improved significantly over time on other platforms as well. So much so that CD Projekt RED is finally happy with the state of its ambitious role-playing game set in Mike Pondsmith’s dystopian future. But there was still one area of Night City missing for V and Johnny to conquer: the Cupertino Corp. Apple.
Sometime in early 2025, Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate Edition will finally be ported to Mac and Apple chips. Users of its devices can therefore find the base game and Phantom Liberty with all the latest updates applied to the game. CD Projekt RED also notes that this port will leverage the capabilities of Apple devices to integrate numerous features. These include path tracing, frame generation and integrated spatial audio. Everything to offer Windows allergy sufferers the unique experience of the Polish studio’s groundbreaking title.
However, it has yet to be confirmed exactly when and at what price this Ultimate Edition of Cyberpunk 2077 will be available on Apple devices. To do this, we will have to wait a little longer for another official announcement, while at the same time following in the background CD Projekt RED’s progress on Cyberpunk 2, its ambitious and highly anticipated sequel.
