And three! After Mutants Unleashed and The Last Ronin, another Ninja Turtles game is coming to consoles. A title that you may already know and that has been positively received.
The legendary Ninja Turtles franchise isn’t skimping on its efforts this year. In addition to the release of the Tales of the TMNT series on Paramount+, fans will be treated to two video games. The first, titled Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Unleashed, will be available on consoles and PC in 2024. And during Nintendo’s Indie World, where Hollow Knight Silksong was once again conspicuous by its absence, we had a nice surprise with the porting of a software of the saga.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game Splinter’s Destiny announced
Ninja Turtles: Mutants Unleash won’t be the only game released this year. The Super Evil Megacorp studio was secretly working on the console port of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Splintered Fate. A game that is already available on iOS platforms through Apple Arcade and has been winning prizes in recent months. And it’s very different from other titles we’ve seen, like TMNT Shredder’s Revenge. It’s not a beat’em’up, but a roguelike action title in which you can control the four Ninja Turtles. The brothers’ goal will be to survive the attacks of the Foot Clan’s enemies in order to save their dear and tender master Splinter, who has been kidnapped.
“Splinter is trapped. The Foot Clan goes on the attack. There is chaos in New York! Enter the portal loop to put things back in order ». Ninja Turtles Splinter’s Destiny uses the roguelike formula, each with different runs, allowing you to level up the turtles. In each enclosed space you can choose special powers to increase your maximum health bar or even a specific skill. And then you have to survive. Of course, you can also get permanent improvements called artifacts. To do this, you will need to spend the currency collected from your runs.
Ninja Turtles: Splinter’s Destiny can be played online solo or with four players, using a drop-in/drop-out system. Anyone can come and go to you without disrupting your progress. It will be available as a temporary exclusive on Nintendo Switch in July 2024. On the other hand, there is no release window for other consoles.
